Our Chicken Meal and other meat sources do not contain poultry by-products or other by-products like chicken feet, chicken heads, duck heads, beaks, feathers, fish heads, hides, hoofs and intestines. There is no corn, cottonseed, corn cobs, citrus pulp, breakfast food by-products, soy beans, fillers, and no screening or other foreign materials such as noxious weeds, straw, hulls or chaff in our product. Most brands of dog food include some of those by-products and chemical preservatives. The use of low quality products and chemical preservatives may be associated with dry skin, allergic reactions, dental disease, poor health and degenerative organ dysfunction.

The Chicken Rice and Lamb formula is OVEN-BAKED under carefully controlled conditions and temperatures - resulting in better nutrition, palatability and digestibility for your pet.

Oven-baking changes starches that are hard to digest into easy to digest dextrins, which are readily absorbed into your dog's system. The secret to good nutrition is not how many nutrients are present in a dog's food, but rather, how available they are and how efficiently they can be utilized when digested. The good value is baked-in, not sprayed on.

Because the Kibble is high density, you feed 20%-25% less than other foods. Each serving delivers maximum nutrition without fillers, so you'll also notice a lower stool volume and less clean-up. The Chicken, Rice, & Lamb formula is easier to digest than ordinary dog foods made with corn. A combination of grains provides better nutrition than one grain. Ordinary dog foods are extruded under high pressure and extreme temperatures and then sprayed with fat and other products in order to encourage dogs to eat.

Beet pulp is by far the best source of fiber. It does a better job of moving the nutrients through the digestive systems and acts as a calming base for forming the stool in the colon. Vitamins, minerals and nutrients are first digested in the stomach - then absorbed into the blood through the intestinal walls. If those walls are covered with slime/mucus - absorption of these life-sustaining nutrients is reduced. Beet pulp gently massages intestinal walls, removing the mucus and aids in the bowel movement.

Protien

The amino acids provided by the Chicken and Lamb Meal are the basic building blocks of muscle, skin, coat, bone, blood and the immune system. The most important ingredient in a cat's diet is protein. We guarantee protein analysis of not less than 32%.

Chicken Meal

The chicken we use is strictly human quality chicken flesh and edible skin, the same as you would serve your family. Our chicken meal, and other meat ingredients, do not contain ANY by-products such as feet, heads, beaks, feathers, hides, hoofs, intestines, as are commonly found in many so-called "quality" pet foods.

Beet Pulp
Beet pulp (after the sugar has been extracted) is by far the best source of fiber for companion animals. It does a much better, and safer, job of moving the nutrients through the digestive system and assisting in stool formation. Compare this with the peanut hulls, cottonseed, corn cobs, citrus pulp, noxious weeds, straw and other fillers often used in other pet foods.

Wheat Base

Wheat is far easier to digest than corn or soybean. Utilizing a combination of various grains, such as ground wheat, wheat flour, wheat germ meal and ground rice, is much
healthier than simply a single type of grain.

Essential Taurine
The high quality Chicken Meal provides Taurine, an essential amino acid for cats, at much higher levels than the poultry by-products used in most cat foods. It is important for eyes, heart, nervous and reproductive systems.

Fats
The human grade Fat Source has no Ethoxyquin. It is aturally
preserved with Vitamin E. Fats provide energy and include essentials for cell structure, hormones, enzymes and fat soluble vitamins. FLINT RIVER RANCH guarantees not less than 20% crude fat.

Feline Urological Syndrome
There is little doubt that F.U.S. is directly related to the cat's life style and diet. Low Ash and Magnesium are important in the prevention of F.U.S. FLINT RIVER RANCH Feline Formula has less than 4.5% ash content and Magnesium of 0.08%. This promotes low urinary PH and helps prevent F.U.S.

Preservatives
Food spoils without some form of temperature control or the use of preservatives. Chemical preservatives are NOT acceptable at Flint River Ranch. We use, instead, only natural Vitamin E in a fat-soluble compound known as Tocopherol, which works just fine as a preservative for up to twelve months ("peak" preservation for up to six months). Vitamin E is also an anti-oxidant that retards the oxidation of other vitamins in our food. If necessary, our food may be frozen to preserve freshness.
